Welcome to my (mostly English-language) blog! Here I will be blogging about whatever is on my mind, which often happens to be quantum related.
The main way it differs from [[About this site|the myriad other pages]] that make up this website is thus that they are explicitly written for *you*, the reader, [[Obsidiannotater skrives til meg selv|rather than for myself]].
I have no schedule and I make no promise to update this blog on any regular basis—but I'll try to at least update it on an *irregular* one!
#### [[Date format|12024-10-13]]: ... Now with phases!
Following is an expanded ruleset that I have been cooking up for [TiqTaqToe](https://tiqtaqtoe.com) that can easily be implemented with my dice system, explained in my previous post. This idea was first presented in the rump session at [this year's Eurocrypt](https://eurocrypt.iacr.org/2024/), although I have continued to tweak the ruleset since in order to make sure it makes sense physically. If you happen to have a TiqTaqToe dice set, try this expanded ruleset out, and let me know how what you think! More playtesting is *definitely* needed.

#### [[Date format|12024-09-27]]: Quantum tic-tac-toe!
The following explanation of quantum tic-tac-toe, or [TiqTaqToe](https://tiqtaqtoe.com), was written for the event Researcher's Night, wherein our university opens its doors to high school students, who get to experience various demonstrations of science, technology, and mathematics. Our contribution was focused on mathematically interesting variants of tic-tac-toe, one of which was the quantum version!
This little "manual" for the game was originally written in Norwegian, and was printed for the students to bring home as a souvenir, and maybe find a way to play the game for themselves. (Ideally we would have had sets available that they could bring home with them, but we only had three sets in total!)
We played several games, and after trying their hand at it for the first time, everyone agreed that it was easy to learn but very hard to master—like most of the great games out there!
(See here for the original Norwegian version: [[Spill kvantefysisk bondesjakk med terninger]])

#### [[Date format|12024-04-19]]: A question of when
The following post was written to be published on the blog of [Pone Biometrics](https://ponebiometrics.com), with whom I am affiliated through my research grant.

Happy to announce that our paper [[SoK - Public Key Encryption with Openings]], the third and final paper of my [[PhD]], has been accepted to appear at [[PKC'24]]! It is written together with [Carlo Brunetta](https://www.simula.no/author/carlo-brunetta/) and my PhD supervisor, [Martijn Stam](https://www.simula.no/people/martijn/), and will be presented at the conference in Sydney by myself in April.
