If you make a chain of hypothetical people that all live to be 100 years old, and who themselves met another 100 year old as a child, the 20th person in the chain would have been alive at the time of Jesus. Meanwhile, the 100th person in the chain would have been witnessing the dawn of civilization. Human history is very short. Kommentaren var et svar til følgende kommentar: > Imagine being raised by someone born in 1791. Someone who actually met and spoke with Napoleon Bonaparte. And imagine who that man must have known as a boy in 1790's - people with personal memories of the last Stuart Monarchs. Men who had fought in the Revolutionary War and were still only in their 30's. Any lover of history must understand how wonderful this tangible connection to the past feels.
